Overview
Document IQ uses artificial intelligence to understand your questions and find relevant answers from your uploaded documents. Simply type a question like you would ask a coworker, and Document IQ searches through all your PDFs and Word documents to provide a helpful response.
Every answer includes citations showing exactly which documents the information came from, so you can verify the source and read more context if needed.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have everything ready to start using Document IQ effectively.
Prerequisites:
You need the Document IQ Access permission enabled for your user role
Documents must already be uploaded to GrowerIQ (PDF or DOCX format)
Your facility administrator may need to enable this feature for your organization

Start asking questions about your documents in just a few simple steps.
Step 1: Navigate to Document IQ
Click on Uploads in the main navigation menu
Select Document IQ from the dropdown
Step 2: Ask Your First Question
You will see a chat interface with a text input field at the bottom
Type your question in plain English
Press Enter or click the send button to submit your question
Step 3: Review the Answer
Document IQ will search through your uploaded documents
An AI-generated answer will appear in the chat
Look for source citations below the answer to see which documents were referenced
Click on any citation to learn more about where the information came from
Step 4: Ask Follow-Up Questions
Continue the conversation by asking related questions
Document IQ remembers the context of your conversation
Be specific to get more detailed answers

Upload Relevant Documents
Document IQ can only search documents that have been uploaded to GrowerIQ. Work with your administrator to ensure all important SOPs, manuals, and compliance documents are uploaded and available for searching.
Important: Document IQ provides helpful information based on your uploaded documents, but always verify critical compliance or safety information with your supervisor or compliance team before taking action.

Having issues? Here are solutions to common problems.
I cannot access Document IQ
If you do not see Document IQ in the Uploads menu:
Contact your facility administrator to verify you have the Document IQ Access permission
Check that Document IQ is enabled for your organization
Try logging out and logging back in to refresh your permissions
Document IQ says it cannot find relevant information
This usually means the documents containing that information have not been uploaded yet:
Verify the document you need has been uploaded to GrowerIQ
Check that the document is in PDF or DOCX format
Try rephrasing your question using different keywords
Contact your administrator to upload additional documents
The answer does not match what I expected
Check the source citations to see which documents were used
Try asking a more specific question with additional context
Verify that the most current version of the document has been uploaded
The response is taking a long time
Complex questions searching many documents may take a few extra seconds
