The Recall feature can help you keep organized records during a recall. When you realize a recall is needed, you specify which lots are affected and then initialize it. All the information about the lots is taken into account for the recall record, which makes it easy to keep track and generate documents for it.

In this article:

Initializing a Recall

Go to QA > Recalls, then click Initiate Recall. A modal appears. Specify the required information in the following fields:

Field

Description

Lot numbers to recall

The lots to attach to the recall. Select each affected lot from the dropdown menu.

Date recall was initialized

The date it was realized a recall was needed.

Reason for recall

The reason for the recall. Try to be as specific as possible.

Recall point of contact

The user overseeing the recall.

After filling out the modal and clicking SUBMIT, the recall is initialized and added to the Initiated Recalls list on the page.

Note: An "initiated recall" means it has been initialized but not yet started.

Working With a Recall

Go to QA > Recalls, then click on the recall's ID.

Recall Information on the Page

The recall's page displays all the information associated with it. Of particular note is the Product Information section, which shows the affected lots and aggregate information based on those lots.

Starting a Recall

Click Start Recall at the top of the page. In the modal that appears, select the date the recall was started and confirm. Once you start a recall:

  • The recall's status is then updated to "Activated" and will be moved down to the Recalls in Progress list on the Recalls page.

  • A new field, Date Activated, appears on the recall's page indicating the start date you selected.

Ending a Recall

Click End Recall at the top of the page. In the modal that appears, select the date the recall finished and confirm. Once you end a recall:

  • The recall's status is then updated to "Archived" and will be moved down to the Archived list on the Recalls page.

  • A new field, Date Ended, appears on the recall's page indicating the end date you selected.

Downloading the Recall Document

The downloadable document for the recall includes the same information displayed on the recall's page.

Click Download File at the top of the page. Your computer's (or browser's) Print modal will appear.

  • To print the file, select a physical printer from the Printer menu on the left side of the modal and proceed from there.

  • To download the file, select Save as PDF from the Printer menu on the left side of the modal and proceed from there. When you click Print, the file will download instead of physically print.

    • If the Save as PDF option isn't present, look for other options that indicate printing to a PDF or XPS document.
