Welcome to GrowerIQ 3.0! Our latest release is a game-changer for processors and manufacturers, with loads of new post-harvest features and enhancements.
🌟 New Features 🌟
Custom End-Types
We've made creating new and innovative products easier than ever! Users can now create their own product types and define how these product should be reported on regulatory reports like the CTLS. Whether you're making a new line of bath bombs, infused pre-rolls, or innovating something completely new to the market - your products can be easily created and accurately tracked with our flexible custom end-type functionality.
To create new custom end-types, navigate to the Administration > End-Types. Here you can create, edit, and delete your custom types. For products with discrete units (i.e. pre-rolls, edibles), this can be denoted when creating a custom product - more on that later!
Start Processing (🚨Attention Processors!🚨)
Now when navigating to batch pages you will notice a new Start Processing button. Using this feature, users are able to easily initiate their processing workflow to create products. This is a flexible feature that allows product transformations between any 2 end-types. We will explore how it works below!
📝 How It Works - Start Processing
📝 How It Works - Start Processing
The Start Processing function is simple and intuitive to use. First, once in the Start Processing modal, determine how much will be processed and what end-type it will be processed into. This feature leverages the custom end-types feature (referenced above); this creates limitless flexibility for processing new products from various cannabis types.
Once this step is complete, you will notice that the end-type of your batch has now been changed, while the current units type remains the same. This means that you've now initiated your processing workflow, and can proceed to Advance Stage. Current units will remain the original end-type until you record processed weight (i.e. conclusion of the processing step).
Once you've completed your processing steps, you can Record Processed Weight; this records your final processing weight, and automatically records any processing loss incurred. Now that we've concluded our processing workflow, we can see that current units and end-type are the same.
At this point, you can Advance Stage to QA, or use Start Processing again to further refine your product. There are no limits to how many times you can initiate a processing workflow, which is particularly useful for processors who may refine/distill their products several times.
Record & Package Discrete Units
For enhanced visibility into packaged inventory, users may now record and package their lot items to include discrete units.
A discrete unit is an individual part of a larger package. Example: A pack of 10 pre-rolled joints would include 10 discrete units, reflecting each pre-roll in the package.
📝 How it Works - Discrete Units
📝 How it Works - Discrete Units
Discrete units are simple to set-up, and provide great visibility into products and packaging runs. Here's how it works:
Create a new end-type: whether or not a product has discrete units will be defined when creating a custom-end type.
Create a SKU for this end-type: when creating a SKU for an end-type with discrete units, you will notice the SKU details now prompt you to enter the unit quantity and unit weight for each discrete unit within the package. Based on these values, the cannabis weight field will be automatically calculated for the SKU package.
Create Lot Items: as usual, you will be prompted to select a SKU when packaging lot items using the create lot items function. Using the newly created SKU, you'll now notice the discrete unit details prominently displayed. Further, the amount of lot items created will be broken down into discrete units to be packaged, and total weight to be packaged.
Master Batch Record (New & Improved!)
We're please to showcase our new and improved master batch record!
What's changed:
Batch records can now be generated for all inventory types, including mothers, batches, lots, and even lot items; previously, these were only available for batches.
You now have the option to generate a batch record with the entire family tree of that inventory - meaning you can trace a lot back to its original genetic source and include the complete genetic history on the batch record!
Sanitation activities will be automatically included on the batch records; sanitation activities will be added to the record based on the room location and movement of the inventory.
Added electronic signatures to batch record activities, including user ID, date and time of signature, and signer's role.
Batch records now show inventory movement, including dates the inventory was in each location and changes in unit type.
All documents tied to the inventory's activities will be collated at the bottom of the batch record in an appendix; these documents will also be linked within the original activities for easy navigation.
CAPAs and Deviations that are linked to the inventory will be automatically added to the batch record in a detailed appendix.
Quarterly Report (INFARMED)
For license holders in Portugal, we've now added a new report that will automatically generate the Reporte Trimestral de Entradas e Saídas required to be submitted quarterly to INFARMED. You can generate this report by navigating to QA > Reports and filtering by date range.
New Activity Log
We've revamped the Activity Log (QA Module) page to make it faster, and more responsive for larger datasets, including the addition of several new features to enhance usability.
What's changed:
Added column and filter sorting tab to refine search and build custom reports.
Saved-view feature added to this page, allowing users to create custom views and save them for future use.
Default views added to filter activities by this month, last month, or last quarter.
Easy access to the activity modal by double-clicking any row in the report; exit the modal by using the X, or double-clicking again.
Activity modal includes hyperlinks for Inventory IDs, which open in a new tab, allowing for easy navigation without losing your place.
Activities with document uploads will allow users to preview documents in a new tab directly from the Activity Log.
Users can right-click anywhere on the data grid to create custom charts or export selected data.
Enhancements💡
We've made a series of back-end improvements to make the application load and perform tasks faster and more efficiently.
Defoliate & Prune functions have been combined into a single modal. Now, you can decide whether you are pruning or defoliating, and whether or not a destruction event will be needed as a result.
Now you can merge any 2 Lots together, regardless of stage and type; with the new custom end types feature, you can simply merge and decide what end-type the merged lot should be.
Feature-rich data-grid pages have been added to Batches, Accounts, Orders, and Shipments pages, allowing for better filtering, exporting and custom report building.
Documents may now be previewed directly from the Activity Log page.
Bugfixes 🔧
We've squashed a TON of pesky bugs in this release 🙌! Here are some highlights:
Solved a bug causing rounding inconsistencies in the Health Canada report when creating lot items.
Fixed an issue causing plant count discrepancies when destroying material from a Mother Batch.
Resolved an issue where the submit button remained available when creating samples, resulting in duplicate samples being created.
Variety filters are now working on the Batches page when sorting data.
Resolved a bug that caused a failed error when editing an order price.
Fixed an issue causing Add Insects to fail when using supply types not defined as containers of insects.
